Furry pair on the beach
Furry pair on the beach
On a bench, on the beach,
In the silence of the night;
A whooshing heartbeat,
And the ebb of the tide;
Only sound that mattered;
They lounged and embraced.

A sound somewhat startling,
Disturbed the gravid silence;
From behind heard meowing;
Turned around to see defiance,
Of a petite cat in resistance,
To a feral cat in persistance.

The merry pair on the bench,
Watched and wondered;
The furry pair on the beach,
Miaowed and stuttered;
Settled for a catty fling,
They departed with a grin.
